Hello Everyone! Christine with Pattercrafts with a Spooktacular Halloween card. Today’s card has a variety of dimension and techniques.

To start the card, I am making the background. I grabbed my star stencil and some distress ink. (I made one panel using Mustard Seed – as seen in the photo but ended up doing another panel using Squeezed Lemonade, which is in the final card) I applied the distress ink, wiped down the stencil carefully then applied some versamark. I pulled up the stencil, added clear embossing powder and then heat set the stars.
After the embossing powder was set and cooled I then used Concord Grape, Chipped Sapphire and black soot distress ink to create my sky.
While that dried, I die cut my ground and added some Peeled Paint distress ink to darken my card stock. I then then stamped the sentiment “Happy Halloween” and use more clear embossing powder.

These images are darling and I really didn’t want to use them once they were all colored!! I stamped them with Gina K Black Amalgam Ink and colored them with Copic Markers.
Once all the different elements of this card were ready, it was time to assemble the card.

I started by adding the 1st layer of “grass”/”ground” directly onto the sky piece. I then put 3 Pumpkin Clips from Doodlebug on the 2nd layer of “grass”/”ground”; to keep the clips from moving I used a piece of tape on the back. Between the Pumpkin Clips, I put 2 pumpkins from the Lawn Fawn Costume Party stamp set. I then added a few candy pieces (also from the stamp set). I added this piece to the panel with foam adhesive.
Now to the characters (that I wanted to hoard – hehe) I added them with liquid glue and made sure to add a few Halloween musts! Of course, one would need a plastic pumpkin to collect candy, the witch needs her broom and our little dinosaur is enjoying a piece of fun size candy!

On the inside I added the sentiment “Trick or Treat” from the stamp set, the other 2 characters and a couple more pieces of candy.
Thank You all so much for joining me today! I hope you enjoy and get inspired!
